Un sujet crucial : l'interaction entre biotraducteurs et traduction automatique (MT, en anglais). C'est la FIT (Fédération internationale des traducteurs) qui a mis en place un blog pour favoriser le dialogue entre ces deux communautés qui ont tout à y gagner (c'est, incidemment, aussi le sujet des colloques Tralogy et YAO-CAT, qui travaillent en ce moment à leur prochaine manifestation).

They are helping us disseminating towards translators, e.g. what MT means for them.
FIT has a put in place a blog specifically for QT21 to initiate a dialog with the translator community.

My question to you: what topic you think might be interesting for a translator to know about or to discuss when we are talking MT?
What would we like to share with translators? What are we doing that could be of interest to translators?
It can be as simple as :
We researchers would like to know how much people is using MT.
For what activities are translators using MT?
Or more complex:
Illustrating why we (researchers) think MT is useful.
Will MT drive the simplification of the language?
How a translator can help improve MT?
Not enough translators to translate the web … with figures illustrating the growth of needed translation
Or much more complex:
What is the difference between NMT and rule based MT … or more complex between NMT and PBSMT … if somebody wants to illustrate this difference in simple words …
